Research content
Our research is focused to develop valuable technologies for bio and medical applications. For example, we are studying the interaction force analysis between DNA and anti-tumor reagents, such as cisplatin, using the atomic force microscopy. This give lights on the mechanism of the reagent. We also developing a manipulation technique of DNA molecules using a micro machine developed with our micro-3D printer. This technology can be applied to a single molecular DNA sequencing. Cultured cells are also our research targets. We are developing a quartz crystal sensor system to evaluate activity of cultured cells for screening anti-tumor reagents. The system can monitor the activity of the cultured cell real time and continuously. Another research subject is developing a new 3D culture method applying a commercialized 3D printer. Cellular structure can be make artificially using this technology.
