Bionics/Synthetic Organic Chemistry

Research content
We have studied chemical methods to synthesize new compounds, which are candidates, such as pharmaceuticals, organic materials, perfume, and dyes. We have contributed to the development of new molecular synthesis by utilizing a special reactivity of a functional group in organic compounds and by utilizing a unique characteristic of metal complexes. In addition, we will develop an environment-friendly organic synthesis with "no by-products”, “no waste", and "no use of the halogen and heavy metals".
Research theme

1. Development of synthetic organic chemistry of nucleophilic benzenes
2. Development of molecular transformation through catalytic dehydrogenation
3. Development of new synthetic methods of extended πelectron conjugated molecules.

Research keywords
