Research content
Glycation takes place intra- / extracellularly and is implicated in glycation-related diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer, as well as aging process. We are engaged in the development of novel biorecognition molecules and in vitro or intracellular monitoring systems for glycation-related products. These systems are expected to be contribute to the development of novel diagnosis systems and biomarkers, as well as the elucidation of pathology of the glycation-related diseases.
Research theme

1. Development of intracellular glycation monitoring systems
2. Analysis of intracellular glycation effects on diseases
3. Development of novel biomolecules for diagnosis

Research keywords
