Research content
Various biological reactions are achieved with remarkable selectivity at enormous speed in vivo. By learning the highly sophisticated reaction mechanisms therein and by combining bioscience with chemistry, we are preparing new chemical tools that can achieve what nature cannot. One of our goals is to develop new biotechnology in which various bioreactions are precisely controlled as required by using our new-tools.
Research theme

1. Preparation of artificial enzymes for site-selective DNA scission and its application to genomic analysis tools
2. Development of chemical probes for the detection of protein phosphorylation
3. Synthesis of plastic antibody recognizing nanometerscaled guests in water

Research keywords
Artificial Nucleic Acid , Bioimaging , Plastic Antibody
