Research content
From the perspective of application to a luminescent layer of organic EL materials such as flexible or wearable devices which have been developed in the modern society, we have studied on a monolayer formed by a molecule with aggregation-induced emission effect at the air/water interface. In addition, for effective use of sunlight, we develop a wavelength conversion film which converts harmful and unwanted wavelength of light for crops to light available for photosynthesis. Moreover, cell-plastics using a photosynthetic green algal cell as a raw material have been developed as novel bioplastics.

Research theme

1. Construction of a monolayer with aggregation-induced emission effect at the air/water interface
2. Development of a conversion film in two wavelength regions
3. Antioxidant and planarian regeneration
