Suspension of Applications for the Graduate Entrepreneurship Program

Tokyo University of Technology has decided to no longer accept applications from students for the Entrepreneurship Program of the Graduate School of Bionics, Computer and Media Sciences after the 2023 academic year. The Entrepreneurship Program has produced many students since its establishment in 2005 with the unique goals of fostering entrepreneurs and creating new businesses. However, in recent years, the number of applicants and enrollments have been declining and the number of students has been falling below capacity. Accordingly, we have decided to stop accepting applications, judging that it will continue to be difficult to secure a stable number of students in the future as a university that lacks economic/business administration departments.

Going forward, the education and research activities of those students currently enrolled in the Entrepreneurship Program will continue to be offered until they complete their studies.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your continued support of the Entrepreneurship Program until now. Your understanding of this decision is greatly appreciated.

This matter has been resolved by the Katayanagi Institute Board of Directors and reported to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
